Branches are equipped to operate as individual units with emphasis on
flexibility and direct delivery to site. The larger contractor and house-builder
can benefit from this network by using the National Sales Office as a
central point of contact.

This service is available on deliveries from all merchant depots.
Timber Preservation
Long term timber protection is achieved by either vacuum pressure or
double vacuum depending on the end use of the timber component. Travis Perkins
works closely with two UK manufacturers namely Arch Timber Protection
and Protim Solignum Osmose, who are world market leaders in timber treatment.
All treatments are performed under a controlled process within an industrial
treatment vessel using one of our many strategic locations through nominated
suppliers of treated timber.

Stress Grading
TRADA Certificated Visual Stress Grading service is available at each
specialist timber branch.
Machining
Planing and moulding of standard and special sections in large or small
quantities has long been a key service offered to all customers by our
specialist timber branches.
Sawing
Every specialist timber branch is equipped with band resaws and cross
cut machines to meet exact requirements - regularised joists, splayed, feather
edged sections and site pegs. Panel saws are installed at selected sites.
Apertures Fire Doors
BWF - CERTIFIRE approved doors supplied and cut in controlled conditions
to exact specifications.
Roof Trusses
Full design and fabrications service. Calculations and layout drawings
can be produced with each order.

Complete design, cut and on-site advisory service.
Priming
Many prepared and moulded sections of timber are now required with a
coat of primer and paint to reduce on-site costs. Travis Perkins has
machinery at several specialist timber branches for applying water based white primer.
