Recognising that timber is an important natural resource, Travis Perkins
have established a Timber Purchasing Policy, basing commercial activities
on well managed forests. As a company, Travis Perkins have implemented
an environmental policy to include:

have achieved accreditation to the internationally recognised ISO
14001 standard |

2. A signed commitment to the Timber Trade Federation

3. A request for detailed information from timber suppliers
as to the degree to which their products have been drawn from sources
with certification to forest management standards. A significant proportion
of our timber is procured from suppliers who have achieved certification
to the PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification) or FSC (Forest Stewardship
Council) standards |

4. Continually challenging all timber suppliers to improve their
performance and increase the percentage of products they supply
that are certified to one of the above standards.
